FreeOnlineBible.com is a free Bible reading and study site. We collect as little personal information as possible, and this page explains exactly what we do collect and why.

What we collect

• Nothing, for most visitors. You can read the Bible, use every study tool, and browse the whole site without an account. Reader preferences (text size, theme, highlights before you sign in) are stored in your own browser, not on our servers.
• Email address — only if you create an account (we use passwordless email sign-in), subscribe to the daily verse or newsletter, or make a purchase. We never sell or share your email.
• Your saved content — if you sign in, your highlights, bookmarks, notes, and reading-plan progress are stored with your account so they follow you between devices. Notes are private unless you choose to share one publicly, and shared notes are reviewed before they appear.
• Prayer requests — a prayer request is private unless you tick the box to share it on the public wall, and shared requests are reviewed before they appear. Providing a name is optional.
• Order details — if you buy from the store, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we keep the order record (what you bought, the email it belongs to).
• Basic technical logs — like most websites, our server keeps short-lived logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.

Cookies, analytics, and ads

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences. If analytics or advertising are enabled on the site, they load only after you accept the consent banner:

• Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics that help us understand which pages are useful.
• Google AdSense — ads that help keep the site free. Google may use cookies to show more relevant ads; you can read how Google uses data at policies.google.com and opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.

Decline the banner and the site works exactly the same, with no analytics or ad cookies set.

Emails

The daily verse and newsletter use double opt-in — you only receive them after confirming your address. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Sign-in links and reading-plan emails are only sent to accounts that requested them.

Your rights and choices

• You can unsubscribe from any email at any time using the link in that email.
• You can delete your account from your account settings — this permanently removes your profile, highlights, bookmarks, notes, and preferences.
• You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, whether you are covered by the GDPR, CCPA, or neither — the answer is the same. Contact us and we'll sort it out.

Children

The site is suitable for all ages, but accounts and email subscriptions are intended for people 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
