Genesis 38:1 And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah. Genesis 39:2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. Genesis 39:3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. Genesis 39:6 And he left all that he had in Joseph' s hand; and he knew not aught he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person , and well favored. Genesis 39:8 But he refused, and said unto his master' s wife, Behold, my master knoweth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; Genesis 39:21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. Genesis 39:23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper. Genesis 40:4 And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward. Genesis 40:7 And he asked Pharaoh' s officers that were with him in the ward of his lord' s house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly today? Genesis 41:12 And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret. Genesis 42:4 But Benjamin, Joseph' s brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said, Lest peradventure mischief befall him. Genesis 42:7 And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food. Genesis 42:13 And they said, Thy servants are twelve brethren, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and, behold, the youngest is this day with our father, and one is not. Genesis 42:16 Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies. Genesis 42:24 And he turned himself about from them, and wept; and returned to them again, and communed with them, and took from them Simeon, and bound him before their eyes. Genesis 42:30 The man, who is the lord of the land, spake roughly to us, and took us for spies of the country. Genesis 42:32 We be twelve brethren, sons of our father; one is not, and the youngest is this day with our father in the land of Canaan. Genesis 42:33 And the man, the lord of the country, said unto us, Hereby shall I know that ye are true men ; leave one of your brethren here with me, and take food for the famine of your households, and be gone: Genesis 43:3 And Judah spake unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you. Genesis 43:4 If thou wilt send our brother with us, we will go down and buy thee food: Genesis 43:5 But if thou wilt not send him , we will not go down: for the man said unto us, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you. Genesis 43:8 And Judah said unto Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and thou, and also our little ones. Genesis 43:16 And when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the ruler of his house, Bring these men home, and slay, and make ready; for these men shall dine with me at noon. Genesis 43:32 And they set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, which did eat with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians. Genesis 43:34 And he took and sent messes unto them from before him: but Benjamin' s mess was five times so much as any of theirs. And they drank, and were merry with him.
